January and February brought a polar vortex and record snowfall to Iowa, with temperatures in the negatives and wind chills colder than Antarctica at 40 and 50 degrees below zero. Delivery vehicles consistently required digging out of snow and de-icing, and road conditions were questionable many days.
But through it all, Right Dose Pharmacy still managed to make deliveries seven days a week. This milestone could not have been achieved without our extraordinary teams of drivers. Under the direction of Delivery Coordinator Brendan Witt, Right Dose’s team of drivers consistently performs above and beyond to make sure deliveries reach their destinations in a timely manner. They come prepared with shovels, ice scrapers and reliable vehicles to ensure they meet residents’ needs at each facility we serve – despite inclement weather obstacles.
Examples of their exceptional efforts include arriving to work early to de-ice delivery vehicles and taking earlier shifts on bad weather days to maximize daylight. With another round of snowstorms predicted for March, we are confident that our team will be prepared to handle whatever comes our way.
Right Dose’s delivery team is as dedicated as they come. Their extra work, despite challenging conditions, is much appreciated by us and the residents we serve.
