Right Dose Pharmacy Forms Dedicated atHome Pharmacy Services Team to Meet the Unique Needs of Non-Traditional Long-Term Care Patients
Des Moines, IA – Right Dose, a leading provider of long-term care (LTC) pharmacy services and member of the Guardian family of pharmacies, today announced the formation of a dedicated atHome pharmacy services team to meet the unique needs of non-traditional LTC patients and their care professionals. The experienced team, consisting of a dedicated account manager, fulfilment technician, data entry technician, and pharmacist, is committed to providing high-quality, personalized pharmacy services and local support to those who care for medically complex individuals in their homes.
This new team is designed to fill a gap between traditional LTC and community pharmacy for a range of in-home care programs including mental and behavioral health service providers, hospice operators, foster care programs, home health services, and professionals that care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The atHome program features a range of services and technologies to improve medication adherence and safety while promoting independence for the individuals they serve. Smart packaging technologies, GuardianNoteTM — a HIPAA compliant mobile messaging application, electronic medication administration record (eMAR) integration and support for all leading eMAR systems, including TherapTM are some of the technologies being used. In addition, the team includes a dedicated billing specialist to assist with prior authorizations and answer billing questions. Nurse account managers provide onsite quality audits, regulatory support, and educational services and Right Dose’s pharmacists review for medication compatibility and appropriateness and perform new admission and change of condition reviews when needed.
